Emil Jackson Lilly

Emil Jackson Lilly, age 84, of Daniels, WV passed away on Sunday, August 10, 2025 at Select Specialty Hospital in Charleston, WV.

Born on March 24, 1941 in Buffalo, New York, he was the son of the late Ted Jackson Lilly and Annabelle Griffith Lilly.

Mr. Lilly was a retired mechanic. He was a former drag car racer, and raced on asphalt and dirt tracks, in many of the southern states.

Mr. Lilly was a member of the First Baptist Church at Shady Spring, and enjoyed racing.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by siblings, Larry Lilly, Barbara Lilly Marsh, Neta Lilly Smith, Rebecca Jane Lilly Allison, Curtis Lilly, Wanda Lilly Hoosier, and Belva Lilly Thomas.

Those survivors left to cherish his memory include sons, Todd Lilly of Beckley, and Tim Lilly and wife Kristina of Cool Ridge; A brother Jerry Lilly and wife Anna Lea of Beckley; a sister Sandra Phillips of Cool Ridge; a sister-in-law Mae Lilly of Elkins, WV; three grandchildren, Brittany Lilly, Amber Vergos and husband Chris, and Alyssa Lilly. He also leaves behind his special buddy, "Bear", Todd's German Shephard.

Funeral services will be conducted at the Rose and Quesenberry Funeral Home Shady Spring Chapel on Thursday, August 14, 2025 at 3:00 PM with Pastor Keith Manning officiating. Burial will follow at Tom Lilly Cemetery at Ghent, WV. Friends may visit with the family from 1:00 PM until service time on Thursday at the funeral home.

Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. Kerry Link will serve as an honorary pallbearer.
