Estil Price Brooks

Estil Price Brooks, age 74, of Glen Daniel, WV passed away on September 17, 2025, at Bowers Hospice House.

Born on June 28, 1951, he was the son of the late Linden Brooks and Hattie Clementine Manning Brooks.

Better known as Uncle Bone, he left school at age 16 to help support his parents and younger siblings. He worked as a surveyor for years for Vecellio and Grogan Inc., Brooks Inc., and L.A. Gates Company.

He loved telling stories and going on drives. He loved most of all spending time with his kids, grandkids, siblings, and many nieces and nephews.

Estil was preceded in death his parents, Linden and Hattie Brooks, by his brothers, Kenner Brooks, Jerry Brooks, Ira Brooks, Clarence Mac Brooks, and Lawrence Brooks, and by his sisters, Truda Blaylock and Linda Daniel, and grandson Jace Riley Seavers.

Those left to cherish his memory include his children, Kimberly Seavers (Micah) of Water Valley, KY, and Heather Arbogast (Chris) of Fairdale; his grandchildren, Makenzie Gardner (Alex), Abby Seavers, Kamryn Seavers, Charlee Seavers, and Creed Seavers- all of Water Valley, KY; Ava Arbogast, Claire Arbogast, Quinn Arbogast, and Ivy Arbogast- all of Fairdale; and great grandchild on the way, Ledger Brooks Gardner of Water Valley, KY; his sisters, Tish Cantley (Jerry) of Glen Daniel, Meta Belcher of Glen Daniel; sisters-in-law, Jean Brooks of Glen Daniel, Isabelle Brooks of Glen Daniel, Carolyn McDonnell of Beckley, Marilyn Brooks of Fairdale; brother-in-law Leslie Daniel of Glen Daniel. Also left to cherish his memory are many nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews.

The family would like to thank the staff at Bowers Hospice House for their kindness and the quality care they gave him.

Funeral services will be conducted at the Glen Daniel Worship Center on Monday, September 22, 2025 at 5:00 PM, with Pastor Jerry Cantley and Rev. Elwood Brooks officiating.  Friends  may visit with the family from 3:00 PM until 5 PM at the church on Monday.  Burial will follow at the Henderson Cemetery at Saxon, WV.

Pallbearers will be nephews and sons-in-law.
