Ethel Virginia Daniels

Ethel Virginia Daniels, age 78, of Shady Spring, WV passed away on Monday, January 29, 2024 at Bowers Hospice House in Beckley.

Born on February 10, 1945 in Mabscott, she was the daughter of the late Joseph W. Chapman and Erma Taylor Chapman.

Ethel, as she was known by her family and friends, was a beautician, and had worked at Holiday Inn and Raleigh General Hospital  in the housekeeping department.

She was of the Baptist faith.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Helen J. Pack  and Carol White.

Those survivors left to cherish her memory include her husband of 32 years and caregiver, Roger Daniels; a step son Stanley Godbey and wife Sonya of Fairfax, Virginia; four step grandchildren; a brother Jack W. Chapman and wife Frances of Shady Spring; a sister Lillian Oiler of Cool Ridge; many nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services will be conducted at the Rose and Quesenberry Funeral Home Shady Spring Chapel on Friday, February 2, 2024 at 1 PM with Pastor Rodney Allen officiating. Burial will follow at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens at Prosperity, WV. Friends may visit with the family from 6 PM until 9 PM on Thursday at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be family and friends.
