Eva Carol Pace

Eva Carol Pace, age 80, of Shady Spring, WV, formerly of Beaver, WV went home to be with the Lord on Monday, July 13, 2025 at her home, surrounded by her loving family.

Born on August 22, 1944 in Beckley, she was the daughter of the late Burgess Richard Phillips and  Eva Blanche Akers Phillips.

Mrs. Pace was a homemaker, and a member of Crow Baptist Church at Crow, WV.  When health allowed, Mrs. Pace enjoyed cooking, going to church, and taking care of her grandchildren. She had an abundance of energy, and was always fun to be around.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by nine brothers and sisters, and a son-in-law David Mitchem.

Those survivors left to cherish her memory include her husband of 60 years, three months, and twenty-eight days, Otis Lee Pace; four children, Jesse Lee Pace and wife, Lori of Shady Spring, Melissa Dawn Lilly of Iron Station, NC, Andrew Howard Pace and wife, Catherine of Cherryville, NC, and Clarissa D. Smith and husband, Donald of Shady Spring; a brother, Lionel Phillips and wife, Sue of Grandview; twelve grandchildren and fifteen great grandchildren, along with many nieces and nephews also survive.

A memorial service to celebrate the life of Eva Carol Pace with be held at the Crow Baptist Church on Saturday, July 19, 2025 at 2:00 PM with Brother Dennis Burks officiating. Friends may visit with the family from noon until service time on Saturday at the church.
