Evelyn Hazel Howlett

Evelyn Hazel (Bipsy) Howlett, age 88, of Beckley passed away February 7, 2026.

Born February 28, 1937 she was the daughter of Basil & Lottie Spangler of Beckley, WV.

Evelyn was always late, a little sassy and wildly inappropriate. She loved to bingo and treasure hunt in yard sales.

Most of all Evelyn loved being a Mother and Grandmother. Left to cherish her memory are her daughters: Freda Howlett (Buddy Crowder), Anita Evans (Bob), Linda Sleboda and Lisa Strader (Pat). Stepdaughter: Jackie Howlett. Grandchildren: Lori Beth Sawyer (Brian), Julie Sleboda, Kimberly Clark (Jamie), Jennifer Thompson (Chad), Amy Bales (Trey), Robert Evans (Norlyn), Will Deskins (Haley), Casey Deskins, Allie Strader, Joseph Howlett and fourteen great grandchildren. She also is survived by her sister, Juanita Godbey and brother, Robert Spangler (Cora).

She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers.

The family would like to thank the caregivers at Hidden Valley.

Services with committal rites will be conducted at the Amos E. Quesenberry Peace Chapel of Rose and Quesenberry Funeral Home in Beckley, WV. on Friday, February 13, 2026 at 3 PM, with family members speaking. Friends may visit with the family one hour prior to the services at the funeral home on Friday. A private burial will follow at Wildwood Cemetery in Beckley, WV.
