Frank "Eddie" Edward Hornsby

Frank Edward Hornsby (Eddie), age 55 of Cool Ridge, WV passed away on Sunday, February 1, 2026 surrounded by his loving family.

Born on March 8,1970 he was the beloved son of Gerald (Tommy) Hornsby and Thelma Hornsby. He was preceded in death by both of his parents, his maternal and paternal grandparents, his brother-in-law Claude (Alan) Thompson, and his son Cameron.

Eddie was a retired construction worker, working on many homes and teaching others his skills along the way. He also loved Harley Davidson motorcycles, and being around family and friends. He enjoyed riding on his side by side and also playing guitar.

He is survived by three siblings: brother Gerald (Jerry) Hornsby and his wife Betty, Cheryl Hornsby Thompson, and Vera Hornsby and companion Stewart. nephews: Thomas (Chad) Thompson and his wife Keisha, Corey Thompson and his wife Fallyn, and Garrett Thompson and his fiancée Stephenie. A niece: Amanda Hornsby Fink and her husband Todd Fink. Six great nieces Brenna Fink, Braylen Thompson, Bayleigh Fink, Bristol Thompson, Shiloh Thompson, and Caspin Thompson, and one great nephew, Remington Thompson.

To his family, Eddie was more than just a family member, he had a heart of gold and would help anyone in this world. He would have given the shirt off his back and if you needed him, he would have been there in a heartbeat.

A celebration of life will be held Saturday, June 13, 2026 at 1 PM at Grandview State Park, Shelter #1.
