Freda Frances Wood

Freda Frances Pack Wood, age 89, of Cool Ridge, WV,  prayers were answered and she went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, January 24, 2024.

Born on December 5, 1934, she was the daughter  to the late George Pack and wife Irene Kincaid Pack.  She was preceded in death by her husband Bernard "Bill" Wood, brothers James and Kenneth Pack, and grandson Joseph Ray Wood.

She was a member of Lighthouse Baptist Church.

Left to cherish her memories are her son Darrell Wood and wife Eva of Sanford, NC; daughter Diana Hamilton and husband J.B. of Cool Ridge; two grandchildren, Steven Hamilton of Charlotte, NC, and Shane Holt and husband John of Cool Ridge. Six great grandchildren Tyler, Brandon and Brittany Holt, Kayla Hamilton, Daisy Fuller, and Jacob Wood; two great-great grandchildren Cali and Zoey Holt; newly  acquired great -great grandchildren Landon, Aiden, A.J. and Airiel.

Private graveside rites for family members will be held at the Mount View Cemetery at Cool Ridge, WV on Saturday, January 27, 2024 at 3:30 PM with Pastor Larry Cochran officiating. There will be no visitation.  Burial will follow at the cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Mount View Cemetery Fund, In care of Jim Lane, 462 John Lane Road, Cool Ridge, WV 25825 in memory of Freda Wood.

Pallbearers will be Tyler Holt, Brandon Holt, Ryan Bragg, Steve Hamilton, Preston Lilly, and George Whittaker II.
