Gary Wayne Dillon

Gary Wayne Dillon, age 72, of Beckley, WV went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, July 26, 2025 at Raleigh General Hospital in Beckley, following a sudden illness.

Born on January 27, 1953 in Beckley, he was the son of the late Lawrence Wallace Dillon and Betty Jane Lilly Dillon.

Gary had worked as a service and parts manager for many years, most recently for Leslie Equipment and Beckley Steel.

He was a long time member of Maxwell Hill Baptist Church, where he had also served as a deacon. Gary enjoyed fishing, gardening, and spending  time with his family.

In addition to his  parents, he was preceded in death by brothers Lawrence Wallace Dillon Jr., and Paul Dillon; a sister Rebecca Bultema; a special cousin Peter Karvasky.

Those survivors left to cherish his memory include his wife of 53 years, Dianna Lilly Dillon; two children, Rebecca O'Neal and husband Roger of Beckley, and Matthew Dillon and wife Rhonda of Beckley; seven grandchildren,  Dylan Dillon, Garrett Shrewsbury, Andrew O'Neal, Tyler O'Neal, Gideon Dillon, Jonah Dillon, and Greta Dillon; three great grandchildren, Denim Dillon, Infiniti Dillon and Rainey Dillon.

Funeral services to Celebrate The Life  Of Gary Wayne Dillon will  be held at the Maxwell Hill Baptist Church, 301 Teel  Road,  Beckley, WV on Thursday, July 31, 2025 at 6:00 PM with Pastor Ken Killen officiating. Friends may visit with the family from 4:00 PM until service time at the church on Thursday.
