Gary Frasher

Gary Wayne Frasher age 72, of Shady Spring, WV, passed away on Tuesday, January 7, 2025 at his home following a sudden illness.

Born on September 21, 1952 in Huntington, WV, he was the son of the late Robert Frasher and Wanda Mixon Frasher.

Mr. Frasher grew up in Orlando, FL,  was a graduate of Boone High School in  Orlando, FL, and a graduate of University of Central Florida with an Engineering Degree.  He was also a graduate of the University of Colorado School of Law. Mr. Frasher held a Private Practice Law Office in Huntington, WV, and moved to Raleigh County, where he worked in the Public Defender's Office. After he left the Public Defender's Office in Beckley, WV, he held a Private Practice in Beckley, WV.  He retired in June of 2024.

Mr. Frasher loved Dodge Chargers, and enjoyed collecting guns. He was a life-time member of the National Rifle Association.

Those survivors left to cherish his memory include his wife 30 years, Brenda Carter Frasher; an adopted daughter, Terri Lynn Frasher; stepchildren, Angela Adkins and  Benjamin Stafford, both of Kentucky; a step grandson, Devin Adkins of Kentucky and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins also survive.

A visitation will be held at the Rose and Quesenberry Funeral Home Shady Spring Chapel on Sunday, January 12, 2025 from 3:00 PM until 5:00 PM.

Funeral services will be held at the Morris Funeral Home in Wayne, WV on Tuesday, January 14, 2025 at 1:00 PM. Friends may visit with the family one hour prior to the services on Tuesday at the Morris Funeral Home in Wayne, WV. Burial will follow at the Frasher Family Cemetery at East Lynn, WV.
