Gary Knapp

Gary Wayne Knapp, 68, passed away on July 3, 2025, after fighting a 5-year battle with cancer. Gary passed surrounded by loved ones, and holding hands with his wife.

Gary was born October 11, 1956 in Detroit, Michigan. He was the son of the late Robert and Helen Knapp, and the last surviving sibling to Patricia and Bob, Jr.

Remaining to cherish Gary's memory are his wife of 10 years, Kerry Knapp, and children Emma Keppe, Adyn Keppe and Gregory Poe.

Prior to Kerry, Gary leaves behind children Katie and Christopher Knapp, Austin Knapp and Joey Hugel. Additional bonus children included BJ Musick, Jonathan Sharpless and Brian Sharpless.

Gary will also be dearly missed by his nieces, nephews and cousins.

Gary was active in the community, prior to his illness. On weekends (and Tuesday nights) you could find "Garyoke" entertaining crowds with his DJ and karaoke business (Gary loved to sing and dance).

You could also find "Dapper Dan" on the golf course, when he wasn't working at Stonehaven and Woodhaven golf courses. He loved to look good- with his slicked-back hair, and matching clothes from head-to-toe.

Gary never met a stranger, and will be greatly missed by all the lives he touched.

As per Gary's wishes, this will be a party. All who knew Gary, knew he was always the life of the party, so bring all the smiles you can to help us send Gary off.
