Gary George Shadrick

Gary George Shadrick, age 75, of  Beckley, WV passed away on Thursday, April 4, 2024 at the Beckley Health Care Center in Beckley, WV.

Born on February 2, 1949 in Palmer, Tennessee, he was the son of  the late Chester W. Shadrick Sr. and Gertrude Lavonne Cookson Shadrick.

Gary was a former coal miner, and was the owner and operator of  Shad's, a cleaning and sanitizing company for Corn Products Inc. in North Carolina.

He had made his home in  Cana, Virginia before returning to Beckley. Gary was a 1967 graduate of Oceana High School.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Loretta Ann Shadrick,  and  Brenda Joyce Shadrick  Cook; five brothers, Chester W. Shadrick Jr., Osbin Wayne, Jimmy Dale, Robert Allen, and Ernest Dean Shadrick; a  grandson Christopher "Buddy" Kimbal.

Those survivors left to cherish his memory  include his daughter   Kimberly Dawn Paoni of Mebane, NC, a son G. Michael Shadrick of  Cana, VA; a son Levi D. Shadrick of Winston-Salem, NC; a step daughter Diane Garity-Hyatt of NC; nine  grandchildren and five great grandchildren; a sister Karen L. Graham and husband Philip of Beckley.

No services are planned. Burial of his  cremains  will  be at the White Cemetery in Palmer, Tennessee at a later date.
