Geraldine Lilly

Geraldine "Jerri" Rose Lilly, of Ghent, WV, was born December 30, 1938 in Egeria, WV, and went to be with our Lord on April 18, 2025 after peacefully passing at home.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Cephus Mills and Esther Rose Mills-Mabes, (and husband Roscoe Mabes); by sister,Athlene Tate; brother, Bobby Mills; infant brothers, Wayne and Robert and a son, Nicholas Sanna Jr.

Jerri leaves behind her dedicated and loving husband, Josiah "J.C." Lilly of 52 years, residing in Ghent, WV for 47 years; children, Michael Sanna of Ghent, WV, Marchia Hovatter and her husband, Timothy of Beaver, WV; grandchildren, Carrie Wills and husband, Jon of Shady Spring, Aleyia DeBose and husband Jerrod of Greensboro, NC, and Jesse Sanna of Conroe Texas; great grandchildren, Addison Thompson , Ayden Roark and Molli Wills; a great-great grandson Parker Thompson, and many others whose lives she touched faithfully also survive.

Jerri first and foremost loved the Lord. She also enjoyed the simple pleasures in life that brought her great joy, such as gardening in her many flower gardens, shopping, cooking and caring for her family.

Her personality was contagious to everyone she met and she never met a stranger. She had the most generous soul and beautiful smile.

Funeral services will be conducted at the Rose and Quesenberry Funeral Home Shady Spring Chapel on Wednesday April 23, 2025 at 2:00 PM with Pastor Mike McQuillen officiating. Friends may visit with the family from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Tuesday at the funeral home.  Her family, Michael Sanna, Timothy Hovatter, Jerrod DuBose, Jon Wills, Addison Thompson and Ayden Roark will serve as pallbearers. She will be laid to rest at the Tom Lilly Cemetery at Ghent, WV.

The family wishes to express a special thank you to the Emergency Room Staff and 4th Floor Staff at Beckley ARH, for all the wonderful care they provided.
