Gwendolyn Harris, age 81, of Beaver, WV went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, August 13, 2026 at Bowers Hospice House in Beckley, WV.

Born on December 6, 1944 in Kentucky, she was the daughter of the late Robert Denzil Acord and Geneva Hoover Acord. She was also preceded in death by a brother, Jerome Acord.

Mrs. Harris was a retired employee of Pinecrest Hospital as a food service employee, with over 40 years of dedicated service.

She was of the Pentecostal faith.

Those survivors left to cherish her memory include her husband of over 60 years, Delmar Harris; a daughter Geneva Taylor of Beaver; and a granddaughter Raven of Beaver.

According to her personal wishes, no services will be held.
