Helen Faye Bennett

Helen Faye Bennett, age 73, of Dobson, NC formerly of Daniels, WV passed away on Thursday, August 22, 2024 in Dobson, NC.

Born on October 11, 1950 in White Oak, WV, she was the daughter of the late Dorcas Dayton Dodson and Sybil Williams Dodson.

Mrs. Bennett was a homemaker and was of the Baptist faith. She enjoyed walking, and traveling on vacations.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Delbert William Bennett Sr; by brothers, Dorcas, James, Johnny, Norman and Marvin Dodson; a sister Evelyn Hatcher.

Those survivors left to cherish her memory include her son, Delbert William Bennett Jr. and wife Ashley of Valdese, NC; a brother Ronald Dodson and wife Lois Ann of Maryland. Grandchildren Darrell William Bennett of Virginia and Felicia Faye Bennett of North Carolina; three great grandchildren Kandice McCarthy, Haylie Stephens, and Liam Samuel Bennett.

Funeral services will be conducted at the Rose and Quesenberry Peace Chapel in Beckley on Monday, August 26, 2024 at 2 PM with Rev. Larry Norman officiating. Burial will follow at Washington Plumley Cemetery at Plumley Mountain, WV. Friends may visit with the family one hour prior to the services on Monday at the funeral home.

Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
