Helen Delores Moye, age 89, of Beckley, WV passed away on Wednesday, July 1, 2026 at Beckley Healthcare Center in Beckley, WV.

Born on May 9, 1937 at Grandview, WV, she was the daughter of the late Hubert Michael Redden and Mary Clarabelle Moye Redden.

Mrs. Moye was a retired B.S.N. nursing supervisor, after 27 years of service at Raleigh General Hospital in Beckley, WV. She graduated in 1984 from WVU School of Nursing. Mrs. Moye began her career in nursing as an L.P.N., and later continued her career as a registered nurse. She was very proud of this accomplishment. Mrs. Moye retired in 2003 due to health reasons.

Mrs. Moye attended Cross Point  Church on Crescent Road in Beckley. She was very active with church activities, until she was no longer able to do so. She helped in starting meals for Carpenter's Corner through her church.

Mrs. Moye enjoyed traveling and spending time with her grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, James Melvin Milam; by sisters, Pauline Meadows, Frances Moss, Mary Smith, and Imogene Fortner; brother Joseph Robert Redden; step daughter Judy Umstadter.

Those survivors left to cherish her memory include her husband of  nearly 33 years, Fred Moye Sr., sons James Michael Milam of Grandview, and Stephen Dale Milam and wife Mary of Grandview; stepson Fred "Rick" Moye  and wife Joann of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; grandchildren, Angie Milam, Stephen Craig Milam, Michael Wooten, Jessica Milam, Jeffrey Jarrell, Jena Jarrell, Kimberly Dart, Brian Umstadter, and Fred "Ricky" Moye III; 7 great grandchildren; a sister Norma Fortner of Spring Hill, Florida. She also leaves behind numerous nieces and nephews that loved her dearly.

Funeral services will be conducted at the Amos E. Quesenberry Peace Chapel of Rose and Quesenberry Funeral Home in Beckley, WV at 1:00 PM on Tuesday, July 7, 2026 with Pastor Vondie Cook officiating. Burial will follow at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens at Prosperity, WV. Friends may visit with the family one hour prior to services on Tuesday at the funeral home.

Family members will serve as pallbearers.

The family extends special thanks to Beckley Healthcare Center, Hospice of Southern WV, and Alexis Hemstreet for her help.
