Henry Alan Gray

Henry Alan Gray, age 62, of Raleigh, WV passed away at his home on Easter Sunday, April 5, 2026, following  a short illness.

Born February 18, 1964 at Lester, WV, he was the son of the late Henry Lee Gray and Freda Mae McMillion Gray.

Mr. Gray was a former house painter and carpenter. He enjoyed fishing in his spare time.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Gray was preceded in death by brothers Garry and Wayne Gray.

Survivors include his companion and caregiver of seven years, Tia Garland of Raleigh; stepsons, Jay and Josh Hatfield of North Carolina;  stepdaughter, Jordan Paynter of North Carolina;  a sister-in-law Charlotte Gray of Lester.

The family extends special thanks to Hospice of Southern West Virginia nurses, Kelly,  and Serena Huffman Riffe, and Carla the Social Worker.

According to Mr. Gray's personal wishes, no services will be held, and his body was to be cremated.
