Henry Pettry

Henry David Pettry, age 82, of Beckley, WV, passed away on Saturday, March 8, 2025, at Bowers Hospice House in Beckley, WV.

Born on October 23, 1942, at Mount Tabor, WV, he was the son of the late Maltbie Dwight Pettry and Shirley Marie Gunther Pettry.

Mr. Pettry was a retired carpenter, and a United States Army Veteran.

He enjoyed fishing and woodworking in his spare time.  In his early life, he attended Mount Tabor Baptist Church.

Those survivors left to cherish his memory include his children: Crystal Green and fiancé Kyle Adkins of Beckley, and Annette Mackey and her husband James of Columbia, SC; step grandson Patrick Mackey and his wife Amber of Columbia, SC.

His fiancé, Ellen Radcliff - Gunther of Beckley, with whom he made his home, and her son Patrick Gunther of Beckley.

A cousin whom he loved as a daughter, Tammy Sturgill Landy and her husband Nathan, of Youngsville, LA, and her children whom he loved as grandchildren, Hayden Landy and Jaden Landy; a lifelong friend, Douglas Maynard of Beckley.

According to Mr. Pettry's personal wishes, no services will be held.
