Howard Dewey Brown

Howard Dewey Brown, age 90, of Beckley, WV passed away at his  home on Thursday, July 11, 2024 following a long illness.

Born on April 14, 1934 in Sprague, he was the  son of the late George Dewey Brown and Cleetus Dorsey Brown.

Mr. Brown was the retired owner and operator of Modern Body Shop, and was a US Army Veteran. He loved to golf in his spare time.

In addition to his  parents, Mr. Brown was preceded in death by a daughter Margaret Elaine North; by siblings, Harold Brown, Jim Brown,  and Georgia Neely.

Those survivors  left to cherish his memory include his wife of 62 years, Margaret Merline Adkins Brown; a daughter Deborah Couto and husband Timothy of North Carolina; numerous grandchildren and great  grandchildren; two brothers Tom Brown of Missouri and Jerry Brown of Florida.

Private graveside rites will be held at Sunset Memorial Park in Beckley.

There will be no visitation.
