Ilene Shrewsbury Farley

Ilene Farley(Shrewsbury), 69, of Stephenson, WV went home to be with the Lord following a stay at the Bowers Hospice house on Tuesday, August 27, 2024.

Born Jan. 6, 1955 in Stephenson, WV, she was the daughter of the late Clyde S. Shrewsbury Sr. and Ruby Mae Manning Shrewsbury.

Ilene was loved by everyone and enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She didn't know a stranger and was good to everyone she met. Her house was always full of love and laughter.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Sandy Yvonne Reed and her daughter, Jennifer Renea Farley.

Those left to cherish her memory include her ex-husband and lifetime friend, Johnnie Farley; her children, Christopher Johnson of Stephenson, WV., Dwana Wilkerson and her husband Pete of Bluefield, WV.,  Kayla Farley and her significant other Josh of Raleigh, WV.; her grandchildren, Ryan Hoover and his wife, Taylor, Steven Hoover, Jakob Farley, Nick Wilkerson, Riley Wilkerson, Johnathan Sizemore, Kaylene Poe and  Bryson Poe; four great grandchildren, Jenna, Kiki, Alaya, and Reanna; her siblings, Winfred Shrewsbury, Sylvia Hamden, Della Wall, Clyde Shrewsbury, Jr., Donald Shrewsbury, and many friends, nieces, nephews and others whose lives she touched.

Services will be held at the Rose and Quesenberry Peace Chapel in Beckley, WV, on Saturday, August 31, 2024 at 1:00 PM. Burial will follow at the Shrewsbury Family Cemetery Flat Top-Egeria Road at Odd, WV.

Friends may visit with the family one hour prior to the services at the funeral home.

Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
