Jack Donald Martin

Jack Donald Martin, age 57, of Slab Fork, WV went home to be with the Lord on Monday, April 7, 2025 at CAMC General Division, in Charleston, WV.

Born on August 10, 1967 in Beckley, he was the son of the late Robert Martin and Jane Boyd Martin.

Jack, as he was known by family and friends, was a coal miner for Alpha Resources. He was a member of Freedom Ministries Church, where he served as a greeter at the church and the leader of the men's group.

His passion in life was fishing, and spending time with his family. Jack's life impacted so many people. He was so loved and cherished by many.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers Richard and Doug Martin.

Those survivors left to cherish his memory include his wife of eight years, Kimberly Morgan Martin; his children, Eric Martin and wife Whitney of Crab Orchard, and Erin Martin of Crab Orchard; step children Jessi Williams of Daniels, and Michaela Cole and husband Justin of Beaver; eight grandchildren, Raelynn Williams, Tyson Martin, Ryder Coleman, Jersey Martin, Dallas Norris, Jensen Williams, Grayson Cole, and Haven Cole.

Friends may visit with the family from 6:00 PM until 9:00 PM on Tuesday, April 15, 2025 at the Rose and Quesenberry Shady Spring Chapel. Funeral services will be conducted to Celebrate the Life of Jack Donald Martin on Wednesday, April 16, 2025 at noon at the Rose and Quesenberry Funeral Home Shady Spring Chapel with Pastor Philip Farrington officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Park in Beckley, WV.

Pallbearers will be family and friends.
