Jackie Lee Butterworth, age 52, of Sophia, WV passed away at Raleigh General Hospital in Beckley, WV on Friday, August 21, 2026.

Born on January 20, 1974 in Beckley, he was the son of Shirley Pritt Butterworth of Sophia, WV, and the late Leonard Butterworth.

In addition to his father, he was preceded by his caregiver for over 20 years, Sherry Duncan.

Those survivors left to cherish his memory include his loving and devoted mother and caregiver, Shirley Pritt Butterworth of Sophia, WV; his cousins, Lee Duncan and boyfriend Hunter Bonds, of Sophia, Laura and companion Eugene Gardner of Glen Jean; a special uncle Roger Butterworth of Beckley; special cousins Cheyanne, Cody and Kaylee; special babies Jaxon and Gabriel. Many other cousins and extended family members also survive.

There will be a memorial service held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation directly to the funeral home.
