James William Gregory

James William Gregory, age 69, of Glen White, WV passed away on Thursday, March 12, 2026 at his home.

Born on April 15, 1956 in Beckley, he was the son of the late Samuel Gregory and Edna Hall Gregory.

James, as he was known by family and friends, was a former coal miner and a former employee of McDonald's in Beckley. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Latisha Gregory; by son James Gregory Jr.; by siblings, Ivan Gregory, Roberta Martin, and Sandra Gregory Hill.

Those survivors left to cherish his memory include his wife Janet Potter Gregory; his siblings, Nathan Hall and wife Ina of Killeen, Texas, Samuel Gregory and wife Joy of Winterville, North Carolina, Lloyd Gregory and wife Alice of Virginia Beach, Virginia, and Senique Gregory Hernandez and husband Miguel of Dallas, Texas; step children, Sue Keaton of Decatur, Tennessee, and Lonnie Smith and wife Belinda of Scranton, Pennsylvania. Many nieces and nephews also survive.

According to Mr. Gregory's personal wishes, no services will be held.
