James “Jimbo” Henry Mann, Ii

James Henry Mann II, age 56 of Coal City, WV, passed away Friday, November 21, 2025, at home, surrounded by his loving family.

Born on July 1, 1969 at Ripley, WV, he was the son of Jane Keaton Mann of Coal City, and the late James H. Mann.

Jimbo or Opie, as he was known by family and friends, was a disabled underground coal miner. When health permitted, he enjoyed hunting, fishing, and riding horses. Jimbo also loved working outdoors, dancing and women! He also was a member of the UMWA. Jimbo was a graduate of Independence High School.

In addition to his father, Jimbo was preceded in death by a sister Tammy Dawson, and a brother Tracy Mann; grandparents, Lacy and Sadie Keaton, and Henry and Joy Mann.

Other than his mother, Jane Keaton Mann of Coal City, those survivors left to cherish his memory include his son Brian Keith Mann of Coal City; a granddaughter Ellie Mann of Pax; a sister Kimberly Mann of Coal City. Several nieces and nephews also survive.

The family extends a special thank you to the Hospice Nurses and Staff, who cared for him at home, and the in home caregivers.

Funeral services will be conducted at the Amos E. Quesenberry Peace Chapel of Rose and Quesenberry Funeral Home in Beckley, WV on Wednesday, November 26, 2025 at 2:00 PM, with Pastor Shane Roark officiating. Burial will follow at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens at Prosperity. Friends may visit with the family from noon until service time on Wednesday at the funeral home.

Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
