James Ray Radcliff

Mr. James Ray Radcliff, 63, entered his heavenly home on December 13, 2024, following a courageous health battle.

He was born on March 20, 1961, in Richwood, WV to the late Billie Ann Meadows Radcliff and the late James Edward Radcliff.

A man of many titles: husband, dad, pawpaw and brother. At work he was Jim, and to his friends he was Jimmy. Jimmy lived a life marked by an immeasurable work ethic, generosity, and kindness.

The most important name came later in life, which was "Child of God." One of his greatest joys was to worship with his beloved church family at Midway First Church of God.

In his early years, Jim worked in nursing, then construction and ultimately found his passion in automotive. He faithfully served at Beckley Auto Mall for over three decades where he provided a level of unparalleled service that his family still hears about regularly. Outside of work he enjoyed fishing, listening to music, watching Nascar, chatting with friends and long rides to view WV wildlife. Jimmy had the uncanny ability to strike up a conversation, share a kind word, or induce laughter. He had a gift for making people feel seen and loved.

Jimmy is preceded in death by brother, Leslie Radcliff, two special uncles, Johnny Meadows and Dale Radcliff.

He is survived by his loving wife of 45 years and faithful caretaker, Mrs. Norma Dolinger Radcliff; his two daughters, Crystal Massie (Jerry) and Jamie Clay (Thomas), granddaughter Eliza Massie, sister, Sandy Carravallah (Thomas), and countless family members and close friends whom he loved dearly. In them, he found purpose and joy.

The family would like to extend their sincere gratitude to the countless healthcare workers, included but not limited to Dr. Richard Meadows Jr, Dr. Abdrhman Hamo, Dr. Charles Porterfield, and Dr. Yousef Shewiha, Dr. Ely Salon among numerous others who provided comfort and support to Jimmy throughout his health journey. Their compassion and uncommon care were a blessing.

A celebration of Jimmy's life will be held on Thursday, December 19, 2024 at Midway First Church of God. The family will begin receiving visitors at 11:00 am, with a service conducted by Reverend Richard Walker and Reverend John Scarboro beginning at 1:00 pm. Burial will follow at the Sunset Memorial Park, Beckley, WV.

Though his time here has ended, his legacy of love, laughter, and faith will continue to inspire those who were blessed to know him. He lived fully, loved deeply, and left a light that will never fade.

Private online condolences and other expressions of sympathy may be directed to the family via our guest book at www.roseandquesenberry.net . Arrangements by Rose and Quesenberry 1901 S. Kanawha St. Beckley, WV.
