James "Jimmy" W. Lane

James W. "Jimmy" Lane, 56 of Cool Ridge, WV, passed away on Tuesday, May 26, 2026. He was born on August 2, 1969, in Beckley, WV.

Jimmy was an avid outdoorsman, and loved to hunt and fish, and was always up for a good laugh with some friends or family. He had a contagious laugh that could light up a room.  The most important thing in Jimmy's  life was his two twin daughters, in which he devoted  his whole life. They were his everything. He was so  proud of the young women they have become.

Jimmy was preceded in death by his grandparents, Brady Lane and Lillian Lane, and Hollis and Margie Blackburn; a son James Daniel Daniels Lane.

Those survivors left to cherish his memory include his daughters, Raegan Lane, and Madlyn Lane and fiancé Lance Williams, and Adriana Browning; His parents Billy and Patty Lane; a granddaughter Raelyn Williams; a brother David Lane and wife Madeline; a sister Christie Holtzapfel and husband Michael; two nieces Hope McDaniel and husband Shane, and Ashley Lane; two nephews, Austin Holtzapfel and Jarod Lane; two great nieces, Hadley and Elsie McDaniel. Many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends also survive.

Jimmy will be greatly missed by all  who knew him.

Graveside Rites and Burial will be held at the Blue Jay Cemetery at Beaver, WV on Sunday, May 31, 2026 at 2:00 PM, with Pastor George Wood officiating. Friends may visit with the family thirty minutes prior to the graveside services at the cemetery on Sunday.

Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
