Jamie Nikohl Smith

Jamie Nikohl Smith, age 37, of Beckley, WV, passed away at Hubbard Hospice House in Charleston, WV, surrounded by her loving family on Thursday, March 26, 2026.

Born on May 1, 1988 in Beckley, she was the daughter of Kimberly Welch and Barry Brown, both of Beckley.

Jamie, as she was known by family and friends, had a  deep love for all  animals. She had a good heart, and was willing  to help anyone in need.

Jamie was preceded in death by a son, Hunter Deck of Beckley.

Those survivors left to cherish her  memory, other than her parents, include her children, Bobby Adkins and Karli Adkins, both of Beckley; siblings, Nathan Smith, Brittaney Kelly and husband Todd, Shanda Brown, and Dakota Brown, all of Beckley; two aunts, Sherry Witters and husband Keith of Charleston, and Mendy Love and husband Scott of Charlotte, NC. A special friend Craig Berrier of Sissonville. Several nieces and nephews who loved her dearly also survive.

Jamie fought a hard battle with addiction for many years, and  now  she is in peace. The family finds great comfort in knowing that she is reunited with her son, Hunter in heaven for eternity.

In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to an  addiction recovery group in memory of our Jamie.

In honoring of Jamie's personal wishes, a private Celebration of Life Service will be held at a later date.
