Jean Eleanor Hambrick

Jean Eleanor Hambrick, age 95, of Daniels, WV passed away at Bowers Hospice House in Beckley, WV on Sunday, June 7, 2026.

Born on March 22, 1931 in Beckley, she was the daughter of the late Ira Humphrey and Bessie Campbell Humphrey.

Mrs. Hambrick was a former cook at Appalachian Bible College, and later retired as a cook at Beckley Appalachian Regional Hospital.

She was a member of Crow Baptist Church, and enjoyed cooking, shopping, and was an avid animal lover.

Mrs. Hambrick loved her family and her church family.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Gerald "Jerry" Hambrick; a daughter Janey Hambrick Adkins; three grandchildren, Stephanie and Jason Adkins, and Scott Hambrick; a great grandchild Zachary Hambrick.

Those survivors left to cherish her memory include her two sons, Roger Hambrick and wife Nellie of Beech Island, SC, and David Hambrick and wife Debbie of Daniels, and her  daughter Linda Farris and husband Dennis of Daniels; six grandchildren, Brian Hambrick, Shane Hambrick, Matt Hambrick, Jessica Isenhour, Jennifer Jarrett, and Dale Farris. A host of great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be conducted at the Crow Baptist Church at Crow,  WV on Thursday, June 11, 2026 at 2:00 PM, with Pastor Dennis Burks and Pastor Rod Baker officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Park in Beckley, WV. Friends may visit with the family from noon until service time on Thursday.

Grandsons and great grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
