Jeana Marie Massey

Jeana Marie Massey, age 62, of Coal City, WV passed away at her home on Monday, October 28, 2024.

Born on August 7, 1962 in Beckley, she was the daughter of Sandra Hinkle Polk of Oak Hill, WV and the late James Polk.

Mrs. Massey was a former cook for the Raleigh County Board of Education, last working at Coal City Elementary School.

She enjoyed swimming and tanning, and being around her family.

Those survivors left to cherish her memory include her mother, Sandra Polk of Oak Hill;  her husband of 30 years, Emery Massey;  her children, Jami Asbury and wife Marvetta of Shady Spring, and Matthew Asbury and companion Jessica of Jonben; step children Christopher Massey and wife Tara of  Beckley, and Jennifer Massey and companion Bill Blankenship of Oak Hill; sisters Kathy Wilson and husband Charles of Coal City, Kim Fazen-Lee of East Norton, PA, and Debbie Mineweaser and husband Leo of Warminster, PA.

Thirteen grandchildren, three great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews also survive.

A  private memorial service for family members will be held on Saturday November 9, 2024 at the Rose and Quesenberry Peace Chapel in Beckley, WV at noon with Rev. Keith Manning officiating. There will be no visitation.
