Jeffrey Lee Evans, age 50, of Shady Spring, WV passed away at Raleigh General Hospital in Beckley, WV on Friday, March 13, 2026, following a sudden illness.

Born on December 2, 1975 in Beckley, he was the son of Anita Dickens Craddock, and stepson of Charles Craddock of Shady Spring, and was the son of the late Jack Evans.

Jeff "Rerun Evans", as he was known by family and friends, worked as a coal miner for over 20 years. He presently was employed at Carbon Activated in Mount Hope, WV. He was a member of Maple Fork Baptist Church, and enjoyed fishing, hunting, trading, and working.

In addition to his father, Jeff was preceded in death by his stepbrother Andy Anderson.

Those survivors left to cherish his memory include his wife of 11 years, Amber Godbey Evans; three sons, Christopher Evans and wife Courtney of Coal City, Jamason Evans and wife Kaitlynn of Shady Spring, and Jeffrey Nathaniel Evans of Beckley; six grandchildren, Easton Evans, Braelynn Evans, Braxton Evans, Emersyn Evans, Lennon Evans, and Renleigh Evans. A sister Tina Fondale and husband Wes of Beckley; stepbrother, Charles " Chuck" Craddock II of Maple Fork; three stepsisters Tara Dickerson of Saxe, Virginia, Cara Vaughan of McKinney, Virginia, and Melinda Carr and husband Darius of Fayetteville, ;his stepmother Linda Evans of McKinney, Virginia. Several nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services to Celebrate The Life of Jeffrey Evans will be held at the Robert Barley Youth Center, Maple Fork, WV on Thursday, March 19, 2026 at 2:00 PM, with Pastor Jim Bowyer officiating. Friends may visit with the family from noon until service time on Thursday at the church. Burial will follow at the Davis Cemetery at Maple Fork, WV.

Pallbearers will be Christopher, Jamason and Nate Evans, Stanley Pressley, Charles Craddock II, and Chris Burgess.
