Jeri Jean Fink

Jeri Jean "Cricket" Fink, 60, of Beckley, WV, passed away on December 2, 2025.

She was born on November 16, 1965 in Marion, Indiana, to the late Jerry "JJ" Jones and Loretta Jean Jones.

Cricket spent much of her life in Green Cove Springs and Jacksonville, Florida, where she built a successful career in property management before joining AOL's customer retention department. She later transitioned into debt collection, eventually managing an office in Marion, Indiana, before moving into various remote customer service roles in recent years.

Cricket  was known for her bold, vibrant personality and her ability to bring energy into any room she entered. Outgoing, quick-witted, and unafraid to speak her mind, she stood firmly for what she believed was right and defended anyone she felt had been wronged. She loved spending time around horses, going dancing and enjoying days at the beach. Highly intelligent and endlessly resourceful, Cricket had a remarkable ability to figure things out and handle challenges with determination.

Cricket is survived by her daughter, Cassie Pfenning of Burlington, NC; her sister, Cynthis Leek and husband Timothy Leek of Springfield, MO; nephew Jason Mohler and his wife Pearla, and their children Aliya and Brodie, and a nephew Ryan E. Cox.

Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Barry E. Cox and a nephew Wesley T. Cox, Sr.

Honoring Cricket's wishes, no funeral or services will be held, and she will be cremated.

Cricket will be remembered for her strong presence, her spirit, and her ability to leave an impression on everyone she met.
