Jerry Lee Adame, age 90, of Cool Ridge, WV passed away at home peacefully on January 15, 2026.
Born on December 22, 1935 in McDowell County, he was the son of the John Adame and Minnie Linvelle.
Jerry was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother and friend. His life was defined by strength, humor, generosity and faith. He was a member of Ghent Missionary Baptist Church. Jerry valued family above all else, and was always willing to lend a helping hand, or to share a laugh with those around him.
Jerry was known for his strong work ethic, and his deep love for his family. He took great pride for being there for those he loved. He was always ready to offer support, kindness and encouragement. He also had a great love for the outdoors, where he found peace and joy. Hunting and gardening were among his favorite hobbies. He enjoyed spending time outside, tending to his garden, and sharing stories of days spent in the woods.
Jerry was especially proud of his role as a grandfather and great grandfather. He cherished time spent with his grandchildren and great grandchildren, creating memories that will be cherished for generations. He was known for his steady presence, quiet wisdom, and the love he shared in both words and actions.
Above all else, Jerry cherished the time he spent with his family. His presence was a source of comfort and stability, and his legacy will live on in the many lives he touched.
Jerry is survived by his loving wife Naomi Adame of 67 years; his children Karen Via (Ray), Jay Adame (Annette), and Jeff Adame (Greta); eight grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. Jerry will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew him.
Funeral services will be conducted at the Amos E. Quesenberry Chapel of Rose and Quesenberry Funeral Home in Shady Spring on Monday, January 19, 2026 at 2:00 PM, with Pastor Pete Pack officiating. A Private Burial will follow at the Sluss Cemetery at Mount View, WV. Friends may visit with the family from noon until service time on Monday at the funeral home.
