Jessie Ryan Bragg, age 33, of Irish Mountain, WV passed Sunday, September 15, 2024 in Marion, Virginia.
He was born in Wake County, North Carolina on September 26, 1990 to Granville Bragg Jr. of Irish Mountain, and Karen Randolph King of Wilmington, NC, and was the step son of Randy King of Wilmington, NC.
He was preceded in death by paternal grandparents, Granville and Shirley Bragg, and maternal grandparents Carl Randolph and Frances Craigo Randolph, as well as his cousin who he considered as a brother Reese Bragg.
Jessie, as he was known by family and friends, was a machinist for Phillips Global, where he enjoyed his job and loved going to work. He was very proud of what he had accomplished in his job. Jessie was the best daddy to his daughters and loved and cherished spending time with them. He enjoyed playing video games with his brother Joseph, and also loved riding his motorcycle. Jessie had struggled in his early life, and had turned his life completely around.
Those survivors left to cherish his memory include his father, Granville Bragg Jr., of Irish Mountain, and Karen King and step father Randy of Wilmington, NC; his significant other Halie Campbell of Irish Mountain; daughters Mavis Rae Bragg of Irish Mountain, and Artemis Louise Bragg of Beckley; brothers Steven Bragg and wife Amanda of White Oak, Joseph Bailey of Austin, Texas, Nathan King of Wilmington, NC, and Brandon King of Wilmington, NC.; a niece Chloe Bragg of White Oak; a nephew Noah Bragg of White Oak. Many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends also survive.
Funeral services to Celebrate the Life of Jessie Ryan Bragg will be held at the Rose and Quesenberry Shady Spring Chapel on Saturday, September 21, 2024 at 2 PM with Pastor David Williams officiating. Burial will follow at the Bragg Family Cemetery at Irish Mountain, WV. Friends may visit with the family one hour prior to the services on Saturday at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Joseph Bailey, Kevin Cochran, Nicholas Wickline, Johnny Bragg, Dylan Callaway, and Paul Stadtler.
