John W. "Johnny Bill" Falk, 71 of Daniels, passed away peacefully on Saturday, April 5, 2025, at Bowers Hospice House following an extended illness.
Born October 4, 1953, in Oak Hill, WV, and is a son to the late Ben Falk and Clara Ann Rhodes Falk.
John graduated from Mount Hope High School in 1971. Shortly after graduation he joined the United States Marine Corps and served our country while station at Camp Lejeune. After being honorably discharged, he worked as a coal miner for over 27 years.
He was the former owner of Zapper's Pizza in Shady Spring. John's entrepreneurial spirit was matched only by his devotion to his family, who were always his greatest source of pride and joy. He was a faithful attendee at Beckley Church of God until his health declined where he would also run their sound system and assist in upgrades for their pastor to their church.
John enjoyed traveling, especially to the beach and taking cruises. You would often see him loading up his truck with golf clubs and heading to Glade Springs to enjoy a round of golf. John also enjoyed watching tv especially the classic westerns and Marvel Movies.
His everyday presence, contagious laughter, and beautiful smile will be forever missed by all who knew him.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a stepdaughter, Jennifer Ann Rine, sister, Lennie Poe, and a niece Tracy Shrewsbury.
Those left to cherish his memory include his loving wife of 22 years, Jane Stanley Falk; children, Amy Deck and John of Glen Morgan, John Falk II of Ashville, NC, Justin Falk of Ashville, NC; and a granddaughter that got prompted as his adopted daughter, Ava Jo Rine; stepson, Nick Rine and Kara of Dayton, OH; sisters, Debra Falk Akers of Bradley and Kim Falk Lanchester of Beckley; grandchildren, Brittany Swagger, Sarah Deck, Jacob Deck, Jaded Grizzle, Nate Falk, Sally Falk, Valerie Falk, and Cameron Brooke Rine; nieces, Hayley Lanchester, Trudy Akers and a great niece Jazmin; also a host of extended family and close friends.
Visitation will be held from 6-8 PM on Thursday, April 10, 2025, at Rose and Quesenberry Funeral Home, 1901 S. Kanawah Street, Beckley. Funeral Services will be held at 11 AM on Friday, April 11, 2025, at Beckley Church of God with Pastor Harold Newsome and Bishop F.D. Sexton officiating. Entombment will follow at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens in Prosperity with Military Honors.
Pallbearers will be John Deck, Sarah Deck, Jacob Deck, Joey Cochran, Bill Reese, and William "Buddy" McElwain.
