John Eugene Tolley

John Eugene Tolley age 67 of Lanark, WV passed away on Wednesday, July 24, 2024 at Charleston Area Medical Center Memorial Division.

Born on November 24, 1956 in Clarksburg, WV, he was the son of the late Harry Tolley and Alma Cavendish Tolley McVey.

Mr. Tolley faithfully worked at Beckley Garbage for over twenty three years as a truck driver and was a member of Stanaford Missionary Baptist Church.

John enjoyed fishing, camping, taking drives, working puzzles and loved mowing his lawn. He was an avid NASCAR and Pittsburgh Pirates fan.

Those left to cherish his memory include his wife of twenty six years, Roberta Tolley; three sisters, Beverly , Pat and Marjorie; two daughters, Heidi and Meagan; a step daughter, Royal King and her husband Bryan; three grandchildren, Eli, Eryn and Reagan; a step granddaughter, Kendra, and many other friends and family survive him.

A Celebration of Life was held at the Stanaford Missionary Baptist Church at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 10, 2024, with Pastor George Wood and Pastor Brian Bird officiating. Also assisting with the service was his dear friend, Haven Davis.
