John Ward

John Ward, age 73, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, November 27, 2025.

He was born on June 30, 1952 to the late Dallas (Jeff) and Myrtle Ward.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister Janie Morris

John grew up in Skelton WV. He was a truck driver for Coca Cola, Valley Bell and Millers Brewery and later managed a car wash. He enjoyed gardening, going to beach, going to movies, WV State Fair and playing the WV lottery.

The survivors left to cherish his memory are two children Lori Silverio and husband Carlos Silverio, John Ward Jr. and his wife Cristy Ward; four grandchildren, Taylor Silverio, Austin Ward, Jake Ward and Tristan Silverio; three sisters, Lorene Patterson, Mary Ward and Nancy James and husband Roger James; 5 nephews, Thomas Shrewsberry, Bryon Shrewsberry, Mathew Meadows, Don Morris, Jason James; two nieces Stephanie Morris and Tonya Shrewsberry.

A Memorial Service will be held Friday, April 10, 2026 at the Amos E. Quesenberry Peace Chapel of Rose and Quesenberry Funeral Home, Beckley, WV at 11 AM.
