Joyce Smith

Joyce Wallace Blosser Smith, age, 67 of Beckley, WV formerly of Huttonsville, WV passed away at her home on Friday, November 8, 2024.

Born on March 5, 1957, in LaGrange, Indiana, she was the daughter of the late Robie Wallace and Virginia Shrewsberry Wallace.

Mrs. Smith spent her childhood and most of her adult life in Shady Spring, having moved to Huttonsville, WV in 2000.  She was formerly employed by Davis Memorial Hospital, and volunteered in the school system of Randolph County for the adopt a grandparent program.  She enjoyed sewing and quilting, and spending time with her family.

Mrs. Smith was of the Christian faith.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph Smith.

Those survivors left to cherish her memory include three sons, Shannon Blosser and wife Abigail of Wheeling, Brandon Blosser and wife Amanda of Bolt, and Rusty Blosser and wife Ginger of Beckley; nine grandchildren, Noah, Thaddeus, Kady, Maddie, Matt, Chris, Cassie, Jessica and Katie; four great grandchildren; a brother Thomas Wallace and wife Josie of Clarksville, TN. Several other family members are also left to cherish her memory.

Funeral services will be conducted at the Rose and Quesenberry Peace Chapel in Beckley on Friday, November 15, 2024, at 2:00 PM with Rev. Oza Mullens officiating. Friends may visit with the family one hour prior to the services on Friday at the funeral home. Graveside rites and burial will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday, November 16, 2024, at the Brick Church Cemetery at Huttonsville, WV with Pastor Frank Stanley officiating. Family members will serve as pallbearers.
