Joyce Marie Thompson

Joyce Marie Thompson, age 67, of Daniels departed this life Tuesday, February 6, 2024 after a courageous battle.

Born July 14,1956 in Mobile Alabama, she was the daughter of the late Billy and Mary Moore.

Joyce was a retired school teacher where she taught for over 25 years.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband Danny Thompson Sr, her brother Billy Moore Jr, a granddaughter Felicity Leigh-Anne Thompson, and daughter-in-law Cynthia Thompson.

Those left to cherish her memory are her four children, Danny Thompson Jr. of Indiana, David Thompson and wife Sabrina of Daniels, WV, Beth Soler of Florida, and Christopher Thompson and wife Jennifer of NY. Nine grandchildren, David Jr, Hannah, Morgan, Tana, Ceayra, Chuito, Katya, Marlie and Madison. Four greatgrandchildren, Olivia, Luna, Lennix and Rome. Two siblings, Kelly Caldwell of Virginia and Darrel Moore of North Carolina. A sister-in-law Donna Moore of North Carolina and a very special aunt, Rosie Lindsey of Mabscott. She will be greatly missed by her family.

Time for me to go now, I won't say goodbye; Look for me in rainbows, way up in the sky. In the morning sunrise when all the world is new, just look for me and love me, as you know that I loved you. Time for me to leave you, I won't say goodbye; Look for me in rainbows, high up in the sky. In the evening sunset, when all the world is through, just look for me and love me, and I'll be close to you. It won't be forever, the day will come and then, My loving arms will hold you, the day we meet again. Time for us to part now, we won't say goodbye; look for me in rainbows, shining in the sky. Every waking moment, and all your whole life through, just look for me and love me as you know that I loved you. Just wish for me to be near you, and I'll be there with you.

We know that we can't have you but we're happy knowing that the angels finally have you back. Goodbye to a wonderful woman and a beautiful mother.

Funeral services will be conducted at the Rose and Quesenberry Funeral Home Shady Spring Chapel on Saturday, February 17, 2024 at 3 PM with Rev. Jesse Farley officiating. Burial will follow at the Moore Cemetery at Ghent, WV. Friends may visit with the family one hour prior to the services on Saturday February 17, 2024 at the funeral home.

Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
