Judith Carol "Judy" Lilly, age 77, of White Oak, WV passed away at Charleston Area Medical Center, Memorial Division, on Friday, August 8, 2025 following a long illness.
Born on January 18, 1948 at White Oak, she was the daughter of the late Early Dwight Quesenberry and Letha Mae Mills Quesenberry.
Mrs. Lilly was a graduate of Shady Spring High School, and was a graduate of Charleston Beauty Academy. In her early years, she worked as a beautician at Jessie's Beauty Salon and Harvey's Hair Salon in Beckley. She later went on to college at Concord College, Bluefield State College, Marshall University and West Virginia University, having received a Master's Degree in Education. Mrs. Lilly taught at Shady Spring Elementary, and finished her teaching career at Ghent Elementary School.
She attended First Baptist Church at Shady Spring for many years, and enjoyed collecting porcelain dolls and quilting.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Ira McGinnis Lilly; by siblings, Clarice Roliff, Margerite Payne, Earl Quesenberry, Ruth Lilly, Harrell Quesenberry, Darrell Quesenberry, and Betty Quesenberry.
Those survivors left to cherish her memory include her sons, Scott Lilly of White Oak, Eric Lilly and wife Teresa of White Oak, and Shane Lilly and fiancé Alex Pera of Cool Ridge; a sister Lois Francisco of Parkersburg; grandchildren, Blake Lilly, Sadie Lilly, Jordan Comer and husband Brandon, Sydney Cales and husband Cainan, and Teyla Lilly; a great grandchild Kaydan Stephens, with another great grandchild soon to be born; a special niece Linda Lilly Sherard; many other nieces and nephews, and great nieces and nephews also survive.
Family and friends are invited to attend the graveside rites and burial that will be held at the Simmons Cemetery at Mount View, WV on Tuesday, August 12, 2025 at 3:00 PM with Elder Tommy Pack officiating. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
