Judy Lynn Plumley Farley, age 74, of Stanaford WV, passed away at her home and awoke at Heaven's Gates on October 16, 2024.
Born January 14, 1950 in Kathryn, WV, she was the daughter of the late Ambrose and Virginia Plumley.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her paternal grandmother, Minnie Smith and a maternal grandmother, Eliza O'Conner Kincaid; several aunts and uncles; her only brother, Jackie Plumley; sisters June Petrosky, Mary Virginia Fox, Sharon Ann Guy; brothers-in-law Johnny Petrosky and Joe; special niece Terry Petrosky; best friend Betty Clay; and special first cousin Connie Smith.
Those left to cherish her memory are sisters Rhonda (Jesse) Ewing and Patsy; brother-in-laws Tootsie Fox and Pat Guy; two cousins whom she shared a special bond with, Van Kincaid and Bobby Pugh; many nieces, nephews, and cousins; special friends Becky Allif, Lila Wiseman, Ada Carpenter, Ellen Cheek; a special guy friend and helper, David Smith.
Judy graduated from Woodrow Wilson High School. She played softball and basketball. She worked in retail and retired from Leggetts. Judy had two loves, Coca-Cola and the U.S.A. She was a very patriotic lady who always made sure the American flag flew high in her front yard.
As a true believer and child of God, she read her Bible daily. You never parted ways or hung up the phone without hearing an "I love you!"
Judy struggled her entire life with mental health. She fought many battles with depression, anxiety, and panic attacks. Her faith never waivered! We've heard a lot over the last few days, people say, "We'd see Judy, that big smile, always laughing or telling a joke." Truth is, she knew the true value of a smile/laugh because she spent many nights behind closed doors weeping, scared, fighting for breath and a life of normalcy. Forever loved, forever missed, forever healed!
