Julia Ann Simpson, 76, of Beckley, West Virginia, went home to be with her Lord on August 20, 2026, following a brief illness.

Born to the late Richard Earl and Madge Lee White, Julia lived a life rooted in faith, family, and music. She was a devoted member of Sunset Hills Missionary Baptist Church, where she faithfully served through her love of music as a piano and organ player.

Her greatest joy was her family. She leaves behind her daughter, Lori Pack and husband Casey; grandson Kristopher Pack, his wife Cortney, their daughter Vera, and a little one expected in February; granddaughter Alison Deal, her husband Cody, and their daughter Adalyn; brother Rick White, his wife Peggy, and their sons and families; along with countless friends and a cherished church family.

Julia was preceded in death by her parents and her stillborn daughter, Amy.

Though our hearts are broken, we are grateful that her suffering was not prolonged. Her final wishes for comfort were honored, and she received compassionate, dignified care during her final 48 hours at Bowers Hospice House of Hospice of Southern West Virginia.

Julia was deeply loved and will be missed beyond words. We find comfort knowing she is no longer suffering and is now resting peacefully in the presence of her Lord.

In keeping with her wishes, Julia was cremated. A Celebration of Life will be held at Sunset Hills Missionary Baptist Church in Coal City, WV, on Tuesday, August 25, 2026, at 11 a.m., with Pastor Michael Rose officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice of Southern West Virginia.

Arrangements are by Rose and Quesenberry Funeral Home, 1901 South Kanawha Street, Beckley, WV 25801.
