Kenneth Ray Sneed

Kenneth Ray Sneed, age 84, of Crab Orchard, WV passed away on Saturday, November 9, 2024 at his home, surrounded by his loving family.

Born on July 27, 1940 at Rhodell, he was the son of the late Brady Sneed and Juanita Bennett Sneed.

Mr. Sneed was a  retired employee of the Raleigh County Board of Education, where he served as a school bus driver. He was a member of the Old Grove Chapel in Crab Orchard, and enjoyed working, reading his Bible and praying for people. Mr. Sneed was always helping those in their time of need.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Drema Sneed; two brothers Leonard and Roger Sneed; two nephews Michael Mullins and Robert Sneed.

Those survivors left to cherish his memory include his two sisters, Bonnie Mullins  and Virginia Sneed, both of Crab Orchard.

Five nieces, one nephew, and many nieces and nephews from the Waddell family, and other extended family members also survive.

Funeral services will be conducted at the Rose and Quesenberry Peace Chapel in Beckley, WV on Wednesday, November 13, 2024 at noon with Rev. Gary Eskins officiating. Entombment will follow at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens Mausoleum at Prosperity, WV. Friends may visit with the family one hour prior to the services on Wednesday at the funeral home. Family members will serve as pallbearers.
