Kenneth Allen Whittaker

Kenneth Allen Whittaker, age 54, of Sophia, WV passed away at his home on Sunday, June 28, 2026.

Born on May 2, 1972 in Mullens, WV, he was the son of Lula Evans Whittaker of Sophia, with whom he made his home, and Perry Whittaker and wife Martha of Greenville,  SC.

Kenneth, as he was known by family and friends had worked as a truck driver. He enjoyed camping, and spending time with his family.

He was preceded in death by a sister Lorrine Michelle Smith.

Those survivors  left to cherish his  memory, other than his parents, his daughters, Selena Gibson and husband Rodney of Davin, WV, Kaitlin Coleman and husband Jonathan of Oak Hill, and Ashley Lilly-Whittaker of Glen White; twin grandsons soon to be born; two brothers Jerry Evans and wife Barbara of Liberty, SC, and Okey Timothy Whittaker and wife Jamie of Shady Spring. Many nieces and nephews also survive.

A Memorial Service will be held  to Celebrate The Life Of Kenneth  Allen Whittaker on Thursday, July 2, 2026 at 6:00 PM, at Beckley Praise Church, with Pastor Paul Chapman officiating.  Friends visit with the family thirty minutes  prior to the services  on Thursday at the church.
