Kevin Harvey

Kevin Wallace Harvey of Ashland, Kentucky, formerly of Cool Ridge, WV passed away on Tuesday, October 29, 2024 at the age of 50.

Born on July 15, 1974, Kevin was known for his kind heart and infectious smile. He had a passion for helping others and always went out of his way to lend a helping hand to those in need.  Kevin had a love for the outdoors and could often be found hiking or fishing in his free time. He also loved riding his Harley Davidson Motorcycle, and he will be remembered for his unwavering positivity and his ability to always see the good in every situation. Kevin's presence will be deeply missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him. Kevin was a loving son, brother, father, cousin, uncle, and friend to many.

Kevin was preceded in death by his father, Wallace Harvey; uncle Frankie Lambert, uncle Jesse Lambert, and aunt Syble Coleman; grandmother Renee Lambert; paternal grandparents Ethel and Wallace Harvey.

Those survivors left to cherish his memory include his mother Phyllis Meador and step father Herb of Catlettsburg, Kentucky; children Kevin Harvey Jr. of Savannah, Georgia, and Alexis Harvey of Savannah, Georgia and mother Christie Newsome; two brothers, Brian Harvey of Shady Spring, and Chad Harvey of Lexington, Kentucky; step brother Herbie Meador III of Oak Hill; special friend and companion Ava Hall of Ashland, Kentucky. Many aunts, uncles, and nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services will be conducted at the Rose and Quesenberry Funeral Home Shady Spring Chapel on Monday November 4, 2024, at 3:30 PM with Rev. Eric Dangerfield officiating.  Burial will follow at the Crawford Cemetery on Blue Jay Six Road, Cool Ridge, WV.  Friends may visit with the family on Monday one hour prior to the services.
