Lanette Dawn Huffman, of Mt. Holly, NC, passed away peacefully on June 24, 2026, surrounded by love after a long and courageous battle with cancer.

Born December 29, 1970, in Beckley, WV, Lanette lived a life defined by her faith, kindness, strength and the love she gave to others. She had a way of making people feel cared for and valued, and her presence brought comfort and joy to everyone fortunate enough to know her.

Throughout her journey with cancer, Lanette showed remarkable courage, determination, and strength. Even during the most difficult moments, she continued to show the same love and care for the people around her that had always defined her. Her resilience and grace throughout her battle were an inspiration to those who walked beside her.

She is survived by her husband and love of her life, Brian Huffman; her children Josh Weeks, Adam Weeks, Jacob Weeks, Beth Martin and Brad Huffman; her mother Jan Keaton; her father Wade Gwinn; sisters, Heather Radford and Michelle Sebert. Extended  family and friends who will cherish her memory.

A special thank you to Kenney and Gene Warner, as well as Leigh Fox for being such caring and supportive friends throughout many years Lanette's life and especially her battle with cancer. Your love, encouragement, and willingness to check in meant so much to both of us. Your kindness brought comfort during some of the hardest moments, and we will always be grateful.

A private viewing will be held for family followed by cremation per Lanette's wishes.
