Lena Marie Collins

Lena Marie (Wriston) Stover Collins, age 66, of Clear Creek, WV, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, April 10, 2025 at CAMC, surrounded by her loving family.

Lena was born on February 19, 1959, in Fayette County, WV to her parents, the late Nevillen (Junior) and Georgia Bailey Wriston of Clear Creek.

Other than her father, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Rex Stover.

Lena was a devoted wife to her husband, Ira Collins of Clear Creek, a loving mother to her children, Matthew Rex Stover (Angie) of Clear Creek and Helen Jeanette McCune (Stephen) of Clear Creek, a doting grandmother to her grandchildren, Cindy Taylor (Damon) of Bolt, James (Autumn) Perdue of Beckley, and Jacob (Kelsey) of Sylvester; nine great grandchildren, including Bayleigh and Jayce; three sisters, Rhonda (Mike) Tolley, Myra Mishoue  and Theresa Hemrick and numerous other family and friends, survive.

Lena was a 1993 graduate of Bluefield State College and worked as a registered nurse at Appalachian Regional Hospital, for over 20 years. She was a member of the Maple Fork Baptist Church and loved the outdoors and spending time cooking for and being with her family.

A celebration of Lena's life will be held on Tuesday, April 15, 2025, at 2:00 PM, at the Maple Fork Baptist Church with Pastor Jim Bowyer officiating. Friends may visit the family from noon until service time at the church.
