Libby Vest

Libby May Vest, age 62, of White Oak, WV, formerly of Piney View, WV, passed away at Charleston Area Medical Center Memorial Division on Wednesday, February 12, 2025.

Born on January 25, 1963, in Beckley, she was the daughter of the late Paul Redden and Emogene Adkins Redden.

Libby was a homemaker, and was a former manager at ResCare. She enjoyed cooking and making crafts.

In addition to her parents, Libby was preceded in death by siblings, Jewell Redden, James Redden, Marlon Redden, Kenny Ray Redden, and Rodney Redden; niece Andrea Redden and a nephew Dakota Redden; brother-in-law Walter Vest.

Those survivors left to cherish her memory include her husband of 45 years, Jerry Vest; a daughter Sam Pack and husband Daniel of Piney View; a grandson Warren Pack of Piney View; siblings,  sister Lisa Richmond and husband Jerry of Lanark, Jerry Redden and wife Sara of Piney View, Linda Ratliff and husband Willie of Virginia, and Paul "Sonny" Redden of Piney View. Many nieces and nephews  also survive.

Funeral services will be conducted at the Rose and Quesenberry Funeral Home Shady Spring Chapel on Wednesday, February 19, 2025 at 2:00 PM with Rev. Randy Smithson officiating. Burial will follow at the Vest Family Cemetery at White Oak, WV. Friends may visit with the family from noon until service time on Wednesday at the funeral home. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
