Linda Carol Smith

Linda Carol Smith, age 71, of Stanaford,  WV passed away on Thursday, April 4, 2024 at her home, surrounded by her loving family.

Born on August 4, 1952 in Beckley, she was the daughter of the late Camden  Leo Drennen and Irene Martin Drennen.

Linda, as she was known by her family and friends was a homemaker. She enjoyed raising her children and spending time with her grandchildren. She was an avid fan of "Survivor" on  television.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband , Baylor Smith; a daughter Vickie Cowen; a granddaughter Bobbi Ruth; by sister Doris Winston, and by two brothers Elmer and Lawrence Drennen.

Those survivors left to cherish her memory include children, Tina McPeak of  Stanaford, April Canaday and husband Joe Johnston of Athens, Bella Smith of Stanaford, and Tyson Smith of  Stanaford. A brother Denver Drennen and wife Sandra of New York; eight grandchildren, Lindsay McPeak,  Amber Ruth, Kenneth McPeak,  Matthew Smith, Haley McPeak, David Eastridge, Christopher Eastridge, and Courtney Eastridge; 16 great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be conducted at the Rose and Quesenberry Peace Chapel in Beckley on Friday, April 12, 2024 at 2 PM with Rev. Corey Brooks officiating. Burial will follow  at Sunset Memorial Park in Beckley, WV. Friends may visit with the family one hour prior to the services on Friday at the funeral home.

Grandchildren will serve as pallbearers.
