Loretta Ruth Huffman

Loretta Ruth Huffman, 84, passed away on Monday, May 18, 2026, following a sudden illness.

She was the daughter of the late Earl and Verna Akers of Dunns, WV.

In addition to her parents, Loretta was preceded in death by her husband and best friend of 40 years, Jimmie Huffman.

She is survived by her son, Brian Huffman and wife Lanette of Mt. Holly, NC. She is also survived by grandchildren Beth Martin and husband Trent of Beckley, WV, Brad Huffman and wife Jessica of Crab Orchard, WV, Josh Weeks of Charlotte, NC, Adam Weeks of Charlotte, NC, and Jacob Weeks of Falls Church, VA.  Additional survivors include several great grandchildren.

A private viewing will be held for immediate family on Wednesday, May 27 at 2:00 PM at the Amos E. Quesenberry Peace Chapel of Rose and Quesenberry Funeral Home, Shady Spring, WV followed immediately by a graveside service at Dunns Cemetery in Dunns, WV at 3 PM.
