Loretta Alice Lewis

Loretta Alice Lewis, age 96, of Ghent, WV, passed away on Tuesday, March 3, 2026 at her home.

Born on February 15, 1930 in Vienna, New Jersey, she was the daughter of the late Merrill Sargeant and Mae Irene Paff Sargeant.

Mrs. Lewis had worked as a waitress, and enjoyed playing BINGO, and loved playing games at video parlors.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Everett Lewis, and by five siblings.

Those survivors left to cherish her memory include her children, Everett "Butch" Lewis Jr. and wife Mary Ellen of Cookeville, TN, Sherry Crawn and husband Mike of Chambersburg, PA, Jeffrey Lewis of Port St. Lucie, FL., Janet Giannolla of East Stroudsburg, PA., and Gary Lewis and wife Kathy of Cookeville, TN; a brother Jerry Sargeant of Sarasota, FL; 12 grandchildren, many great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.

According to her personal wishes, no services will be held.
