Lori Nollie Vest-Young

Lori Nollie Vest Young, age 41, of Ghent, WV passed away on Thursday, January 11, 2024.

Born on February 9, 1982 in Beckley, she was the daughter of Erma Jane Bell Vest of Ghent, WV, and the late Phillip Jerome Vest.

Lori was a homemaker and attended Cool Ridge Community Church.  She enjoyed photography and traveling. She also loved art, singing and being outdoor and spending time with her family.

Lori was a beautiful person in every way. She could find something amazing in the simplest places. It didn't matter where she was, she made it the happiest place on earth. Her amazing talent for art and an eye for pictures showed everyone how amazing the world is and how much better the world could be by being around her. Her love to travel made every stop along the way better than the last and she never got tired of the trips. She loved animals of all sizes, would even pick up bees and spiders just to say hello. The world will not be the same without her in it. She was loved more than anyone could imagine. She is still loved, will always be loved, forever until the end of time, will be sadly missed by many.

In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her daughter Nicole Simmons; a brother Bobby Webster and a sister Tammy Webster.

Those survivors left to cherish her memory include her mother, Erma Jane Vest of Ghent; a son, Phillip Young of Ghent, her loving companion Alvin Williams of Prosperity; brothers, Thomas Webster and wife, Dana of Cool Ridge and Chris Webster and companion Sharon of Ghent; sisters, Sherri Webster of Beckley, Pamela Gill and husband Brian of Ghent, and Kimberly Lovell and husband Tommy of Sophia. Nieces, more like sisters to Lori, Mandy Coleman of Beaver and  Melissa Goff of Shady Spring, and other nieces include, Beth Goff of Cool Ridge, Vanessa Goff of Charleston, Kathy Webster of Ghent, Jamie Ward of Athens, Tiffany Webster of NC, Sabrena Webster of NC and Bebe Webster of NC. Nephews, Nick Webster of Cool Ridge, James Goff of Charleston, Craig Webster of Beckley, and Brian Ward of Beckley.
